Nooooooo! Look like there will be a few less choices for drinks on Booty Cruise!
For a great number of Minnesotans, the state shutdown may not have seen an immediate effect in their lives. But news from the beverage industry threatens to change that.
Beer distributor MillerCoors will pull their brands from Minnesota shelves and bars in a few days, due to an expiring liquor distribution license. The state cannot renew the license while the government remains shutdown.
MillerCoors maintains 39 different beer brands in Minnesota, and every one will disappear from store shelves. These brands include:
Miller, Miller Lite
Miller High Life, High Life Light
Coors, Coors Light
Keystone, Keystone Light
Minnesota bars are already suffering with dwindling supplies, and often cannot replenlish without state-provided liquor purchasing cards. These establishments could suffer a crushing blow should MillerCoors pull their product from the state.
