**We've taken her name out to not blow the surprise**
Dear Dave, Lena, Steve-O and Crisco,
I have a really great story for you that I think would be perfect to read about on your show. I used to listen to you guys when I lived up there before I moved to Phoenix last fall and you guys talk a lot about relationships (I love War of the Roses!) and I thought you might appreciate this story and maybe help me out.
I worked with a wonderful and beautiful woman named XXXXXX at Blue Cross. We started out as friends but the more time we spent together, the closer we became. This is going to sound totally cheesy but last summer in Minnesota with XXXXXX was the best summer of my life. After work we'd spend time together riding bikes around the lakes, stopping at Caribou, sitting by the lake and just talking. On Sunday mornings we had a standing date to go to The Weinery to get hot dogs for breakfast. I'd spend the night at her house and she'd spend the night at mine and I knew I was falling for her but like the stupid guy that I am, I never told her how I felt. I think I was worried, I'd tell her too soon and ruin in for both of us.
Everything was going great until Labor Day weekend when my mom was getting so sick back in Phoenix that I needed to go home to take care of her. My mom died in May and after a few weeks of thinking, I knew what I had to do. I called XXXXXX on June 1st and I told her that I wanted her to move to Phoenix with me so we can have what we had last summer and think about a future together. I think she was kind of shocked because she said "You're kidding me." I told her how I felt about her and I could tell she was a little surprised in a pleasant way but I got the feeling she didn't quite believe I was serious because she kept saying, "Oh, you don't want that" or "You don't want to put up with me."
So as a surprise, I left that night and drove from Phoenix to Minneapolis to tell her in person I was in love with her. But of course, I blew it because I didn't tell her I was coming so I wouldn't spoil the surprise, and when I got to her house, she was gone for the weekend. I hung around until Sunday afternoon, stopped in to see some friends and then left Monday to make the long, humiliating drive back to Phoenix.
Here's where you guys come in. I've decided I'm not going to be wimpy about this time and going to make a bold move. I'm going to be in town next week to show her how much I love her. I want to show up at her house before she leaves for work and hire a limo and have the driver go to her front door and give her a rose and a note that says "Look out the window." I'll be standing there with a boom box playing Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes". I'll then ask her to move to Phoenix with me, the whole time, you can have Steve-O come by and get it all on video and on the radio.
I know it sounds crazy, but I love XXXXXX, and I don't want to hide it anymore. I know she feels the same way, but just doesn't believe that I'm serious. I've already saved up $2000 for her move to Phoenix.
Can you help me out? I'm going to do it either way, but I'm hoping with you guys for moral support it'll go just the way I want it to. Let me know as soon as you can because I'll be there XXXXXXXX ???
