Joseph moved to MN from Europe, see what Joseph looks like here!
Meet Dave Ryan Show listener Joseph!
Here's a little more about him:
I'm originally from Republic of Georgia (Eastern Europe) I came to Minnesota as a student 6 years ago. I completed my generals at Normandale Community college, which was followed by transferring to the University of Minnesota. Last May I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science (Software Engineering) and at the same dime engaged in a few internships while attending College. Also, while studying, I was engaged in playing wheelchair basketball and track in the summer time.
After graduating I was fortunate enough to land with a job right-away, despite the fact that I’m a foreigner and a wheelchair user. Currently, I’m working downtown as a software engineer and enjoying life. After work, two times a week, at Courage Center, I get together with the team to play wheelchair basketball, where we have two teams - Rolling Timberwolves and Rolling Gophers. A few months back I bought my first car, installed hand controls and now I drive myself to work and to basketball practices.
To back up a little, I was 12 when I got in a bicycle accident which resulted in injuring my back; hence I’m in a wheelchair. Prior to coming to the states I traveled to Australia, Russia, Ukraine, and other countries.
I’m 26 now, working full time, engaged in wheelchair sports, and privileged enough to have very good friends around me. My family is back home, but I do travel and talk to them every opportunity I get. And most importantly I’m dating the most beautiful girl, who couldn’t care less about the wheelchair.
I enjoy listening to all four of you every morning in the car and when in the office on iHeartRadio!
