Well, I fell off the wagon. I haven't gained very much of my weight I lost back, but I have gained some of it back. The worst part is, I knew what I was doing, and I hadn't even met my goal yet. It's the worst feeling, but I'm back at it. I'm taking it one day at a time, and today is day 3...so far, so good. The key is to go right back to your plan if you fall off. Don't wait a week. Start back up at your next meal or the next morning. You can do it!
Now, we all take different paths for weight-loss. Different things work for different people, and this path may not be for everyone. This is a local story from listener, Lisa Kayser:
I'm 27 years old and live in Sioux Falls, SD. Hi Falen! I love the show! I listen to it daily while I'm at work. I wanted to send this to you because I know you like weightloss stories. Mine is a bit different but it's been quite a journey indeed. I had weightloss surgery called the Lap-Band done in 2007, i was around 372lbs at the time. Initially I lost around 120lbs. However the band slipped so i had a revisional surgery to the Gastric Sleeve. This was my best decision ever! As of today i have lost a total of 229lbs. A lot of people think weightloss surgery is the easy way out. It's certainly a great tool for weightloss success but it isn't an easy way out. The emotional and physical changes can take a toll. I've lost several friends
due to the surgery as well. However it gave me the chance to find out who I really was and who are my true friends. I love myself more than I ever thought I would. I have confidence and enjoy social activities. Pre-Surgery you would have found me at home on the couch. The first picture is when I had the revisional surgery. I don't have any pictures of me at my highest weight but I hope these pictures inspire people. Its a hard road to lose weight but in the end, the results are worth every little bit!
